is probably the largest collection of hints and tips out there; see
the Essential Sites section for
details.
- Gerard Sweeney, famed YS hacker, has a huge number
of POKEs available at his Hackers Anonymous
page; see the Essential Sites
section for details.
- Tyrone Cartwright's 3D Ant Attack
is a collection of info on hacking into that classic.
- Cheats Prosper
- Multiface POKEs - an impressive list of cheats here.
- Jacob Gunness' Classic Adventure Solutions Archive
has a nice big collection of solutions to adventure games (unsurprisingly!)
- Jamie Percival's Congraturations Archive
is a collection of snaps just before the end of games, so you can see
the ending (which were of course always fantastic on the Speccy...)
even if you can't finish the game itself.
- Doctor Who Computer Games
has information on Doctor Who, Transformers and Thunderbirds games,
including the Speccy ones.
- Nigel Fishwick's Fishyfish
has maps for Monty on the Run, Pyjamarama and
Wanted: Monty Mole on it.
- Ian Armstrong's Dump,
containing a large number of screenshots, inlay texts and scanned copies
of the inlay covers.
- Arsen Torbarina's Jet Set Willy Ultimate Fan Page;
covers everything related to the platform game; FAQ, maps, POKEs and cheats, Matthew Smith related stuff, download service etc.
- Keeping the Dream of Clive!
contains Robert Baker's Speccy stuff, with maps for a few games,
including Valhalla, Alien 8, Technician Ted and Xor.
- Tero Turtiainen's Knight Lore page;
a map and other bits of information about Knight Lore (oddly enough).
- The Manic Miner Room Format
is by far the most thorough description of the rooms in Matt's classic.
- Stephen Smith's Master Speccy page
- lots of stuff including the Spectrum Games FAQ. No longer being updated.
- If you're stuck whilst playing Mercenary, Nikola Alivojvodic's
maps and solution
are just what you need.
- Ian Preston's Spectrum Adventurer
and Spectrum Adventurer II pages.
Lots of adventure solutions, hints etc. plus a load of snapshots
too. A must-visit if you're an adventure fan! Not just text adventures
either; arcade adventures too (e.g. the Dizzy series).
- The Spectrum Help Zone,
created by the succinctly named Bob, is a collection of hints, tips
and cheats for a large number of games.
- Stephen Smith and Benedikt Heinen's Sinclair Software Database
is a very good site with instructions, hints, cheats, walkthroughs and
the like for a large number of games.
- Tau Ceti
is a collection of the instructions and the like for, well, Tau Ceti!
- Tolkien computer games for the Spectrum from Fredrik Ekman.
- Kev Watkins' Wally Week Webpage is dedicated to the wonderful Wally series of games from MikroGen.
