Centre for Quantum Optics was built at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics in 2011. The project was supported by the European Regional Development Fund. The Faculty was granted financing for the project thanks to its highest position in physics, especially in optics and spectroscopy, among all Polish Universities. The new Center allows to improve the quality of the scientific research in the Faculty and to open new areas of investigations.
